Characteristic of the light 685 kg NSU TT that was produced from 1967 was a 65 bhp 1177 cc engine with great pulling power . A low dead weight combined with quick acceleration predestined the car for racing. For use on the track the engine was worked over, the bonnet was raised and an additional oil cooler was fitted under the bumper.
